Michael (Hebrew)

As well as being an archangel in Hebrew tradition, the name Michael derives from a rhetorical question: 'Who is like God?' The implied answer of this question is no one. In other words, none of us really resembles God, which for a non-believer has a very different sense than the original. Nevertheless it's a worthwhile reminder to avoid arrogance.
