Top 100 baby names number 56

I thought it would be fun to look at the top 100 boys and girls names from last year.  I am doing a series on these with their meanings. Enjoy!

Today we have numbers 56 - Lottie and Zachary.

Lottie is a diminutive of Charlotte which itself is the feminised version of Charlot, a French name related to Charles. As far as I can gather the name means 'fully grown' or 'free'. So if you want to raise you girl to be an independent woman this sounds like a good choice.
